A horrific bomb blast struck Khuzdar, Pakistan, this Friday.
The explosion tragically killed Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal, the president of the city’s press club. This attack has deeply shaken the local community and highlighted the dangers faced by journalists, especially in areas with ongoing conflict.
The bomb reportedly detonated near Mengal’s car as he was on his way to the mosque for Friday prayers. Nine other people, including a police officer, were also injured in the blast. Thankfully, they were all taken to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

The exact motive behind the bombing is still unclear, and authorities are actively investigating the incident to determine who was responsible.
Maulana Mengal was not only a leader in the Khuzdar press club but also the provincial deputy emir of the JUI-F party. He was known for his dedication to journalism and his active role in the local press community.
