Karachi Airport Blast: Suicide Bomber Identified

Authorities have identified the suicide bomber responsible for the recent explosion near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, according to sources cited by ARY News.

Investigators identified the attacker, Shah Fahad, through two of his fingers found at the blast site. The explosion killed three people, including two Chinese nationals. NADRA records confirmed Fahad’s identity as the bomber who targeted a convoy of Chinese engineers near the airport.

Further investigations revealed that Fahad, along with two accomplices, arrived in Karachi on December 3, 2023, and checked into a hotel in the Preedy area at 7:49 p.m. Fahad returned to Karachi on October 4, 2024, checking into another hotel at 10:47 a.m. On the day of the blast, he checked out at 12 noon.

The authorities are following key leads from Fahad’s repeated stays in hotels in the same area, as they continue to track his movements and investigate his network.

Officials have also geo-fenced a 3-kilometer radius around the blast site and detained several suspects believed to be in contact with the attackers.
